AVEBURY and SILBURY HILL

A special SOULEXPLORER WEEKEND EVENT

Friday 4 October–Sunday 6 October 2024

Experience the ancient magic of AVEBURY and SILBURY HILL

Join Ed for a special SOULEXPLORER weekend to experience at first hand the energetic power of Avebury stone circle and Silbury Hill

Like Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury are part of an extraordinary set of Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial sites that form a vast sacred landscape in the Wiltshire countryside. Larger than Stonehenge and receiving far fewer visitors, the Avebury complex is one of the principal ceremonial sites of neolithic Britain and contains three stone circles, including the largest megalithic stone circle in the world, while Silbury Hill is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe, with a volume comparable to the Egyptian pyramids of the same era.

Many people experience the energetic and spiritual power of these less visited sites to be even greater than that of Stonehenge, perhaps in part because of the unrestricted access available to the stones at Avebury. Furthermore, the siting of these sacred monuments and the routes of approach to them are crucial elements of their energetic power. On Saturday morning a coach will take us to our starting point in the countryside, from where we’ll head out on foot across the rolling landscape and through the great River of Rocks to approach the sites along the same routes taken by the ancients.

Our base for this magical weekend will be Wyndham Hall in Amesbury, where we’ll spend Friday evening discussing the history of the sites, and where we’ll do kundalini yoga on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Vegetarian meals and a picnic lunch for Saturday will be specially prepared for us by Anastasia of KindEarth
